    This realization is the beginning.

    That you are responsible for you.

    I remember when I finally got it. F*ck it was tough. When I finally understood that I was responsible for my reality.

    That I was responsible for my health, for my happiness (or lack of). I remember feeling sadness and guilt, thinking I could have changed my life sooner. Maybe not suffered as long as I did.

    But I’ll tell you this - as hard as this realization was. It was when I really started to heal.

    What are you not changing... and therefore choosing for your life?

    And how can you choose differently? ✨

    Will you be the 1%? The reason most people will not achieve their goals is because they are simply not prepared to do what it takes.

    They are not prepared to keep going when the going gets tough.

    To push through and release the resistance.

    Most people go into their dreams and goals without really understanding the road ahead and so as soon as that high motivation feeling is gone, they take it as a sign to give up.

    ALL of your dreams and goals are achievable.

    I can tell you that with absolutely certainty.

  • What’s the barrier to entry for coaching… is is exclusive or inaccessable? I don’t want it to be that way.

    Similar to how I feel about people’s right to access healthcare and improve their lives, I feel like it should be easier to access coaching to make changes to transform your life.
    .
    So what am I doing about it? I’m say FUCK IT to all the conventional marketing and sales wisdom that says “set your price at the value you offer” & “gain fewer but high-ticket value clients” and instead doing what my heart is calling me to do---serve the masses. (Side note: if you offer a service how can you truly know the value you are offering people? For so many who see their lives transformed, it has to be priceless right?) I would rather have a movement of happy people than the cashflow--With patience one day I'll have BOTH.  For now I'm feeling good about stepping into my purpose and serving. 💓

    Sure I may be walking head first into the fire. I may have to really guard myself against another burnout. But I can’t do what doesn’t align with my soul, what doesn’t feel right. .
    I’ve always wanted to serve those that needed me most, opening free community clinics to serve the underserved and counseling those in crises.
    .

    Why? Because I can’t coach that you should transform your life and leave you concerned about your finances. Although I genuinely believe that when you transform your mindset, everything does follow, I do not want you to start by shifting from career stress to financial stress.

  • F O O D 🌿 M A T T E R S
    Three weeks ago I’d a nasty little fitness accident which landed me in the ER and ended up with seven stitches. While the doctor was operating, I asked how soon I’d get back to my kick boxing and she was not amused at all. Long story short, she made sure I understood that I was to stop doing cardio until the stitches came off then take it easy for another week.... -

    Guys I was bummed! Here I’m trying to drop this pregnancy weight and I was in the middle of my bbg program. Plus if I’m not doing some kind of high intensity workout that kicks my butt it doesn’t count. Anyhoo, all this to say that over the last three weeks I’ve been forced to take my own advice, something I’d been telling my clients for the past four years - that the biggest factor in weight-loss and fitness in general is NUTRITION. More than anything, what you eat and don’t eat matters most - about 70%. The rest of the 30% is exercise and sleep. And even though I knew all this, I still kept feeling like all the progress I’d made would be undone without my workouts. -

    But I was determined to prove myself wrong. Immediately, I prioritized clean eating - I cut out dairy, bread and added sugar. I also committed to drinking a gallon of water everyday - that’s 128oz or 16 cups. I bought a pretty 24oz mason jar and drinking five of those throughout the day made it easier mentally (approximately 24oz every three hours). I did however allowed myself my daily 1-2 cups coffee and the occasionally glass of 🍷. Anyway, three weeks later, not only have I not gained any weight but I went down from 134 to 130.5 lbs. Which goes to show that exercise is a bonus, and great for toning and releasing stress and tension, but your weight-loss effort doesn’t depend on it. -

    I’ve started light workout this week but I’m going to keep up with clean eating and drinking a gallon daily because I’m loving the results I’m seeing! And I hope your takeaway from this long azz post is that you’ve so much control over how you body looks and feels simply by what you put inside it. Remember going into 2019 that 70% of getting back in shape is YOUR NUTRITION🍎🥦🍒🥗☕️

  • 🍭🤤Its no secret that sugar is addicting. Some of the things that have helped me are written above.
    🙅🏽‍♀️Cutting out artificial sweeteners is a big one! Yes they have “zero calories’ however the sweetness still hits your tongue therefore the sweet signal is still sent to your brain and the addicting effects still occur. Cutting them out has helped a lot plus its way better for your gut microbiome!
    🍽Eating 4 meals a day keeps my blood sugar levels steady. It has massively helped with cravings
    🐟Getting enough Omega 3’s from say salmon or walnuts and even just good fats in general is huge! I always add in about 10-20g of good fat in each meal.
    ✅Checking for infections or deficiencies is important! I found out I had Candida and sugar cravings is one of the symptoms. These cravings were not normal for me, yes I have a sweet tooth but these cravings were very different and way more intense. Killing something like Candida can be a game changer. Its always worth going to a good doctor and doing a few tests especially if you feel like you are trying EVERYTHING but something still feels off!
    😴Lack of sleep leads to an increase in the hunger hormone Ghrelin. Our body feels as though it needs to be awake, it needs more energy so its trying to signal us to eat more food to keep us going! If you are constantly getting poor quality sleep or even lack of sleep it will be difficult to control the sugar cravings due to this increase in Grehlin. Inadequate rest also leads to less leptin production. This is the satiety chemical and a study from 2004 showed that sleep deprived subjects demonstrated 15% lower levels of leptin which led them to eat more. Get yo sleep! Cut those cravings!
    ☀️Vitamin D is a steroid hormone and it amongst many other things, helps to improve insulin sensitivity. When you eat a lot of sugar your body releases a lot of insulin and your cells start to become resistant to it. Insulin helps to stop blood sugar levels from getting too low or too high. Insulin resistance can cause lot of issues from mood swings to obesity! Vitamin D can help to reduce this insulin resistance!
