  • Christmas 🎄time in Salzburg✨
Our road trip to Salzburg was full of Christmas market hunting and there fun stuff😅 Although we’ve been there so many times already, we were quite busy checking everything out within a day yesterday. 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
I’ve heard there’s a very special market at a castle near the city center with more than 400 trees 🌲 and 13.000 red glitter balls, but we weren’t so keen on seeing as we both aren’t into the whole materialistic idea of Christmas ... I mean I get that people like all the lights, music and the spirit of it but is it really necessary to cut off 400 trees for one single market just for the tourists to make it look more „beautiful“ ?! ... However, after this rent I quickly wanna give you a hint in case you’re in Austria during Christmas time: Linz VS Salzburg
SALZBURG: much bigger, more church themed, vendors sell lots of traditional catholic stuff➡️I personally wasn‘t impressed by their variety but decoration was great. Vegan food options: impressive!
LINZ: much smaller and way less than 400 🌲 😅 but really pretty, I honestly need to admit that I was astounded by some of the vendors‘ stuff like crystals, wooden kitchen supplies, homemade essential oils, natural beauty supplies. What impresses me the most however, is the fact, that they have decorated the park near „Landstraße“ and have set up an ice sculpture event there. WOW!!!!! I’m so excited to go there next weekend and take some pics for you as I didn’t last time.
    All in all, glad I saw both but if I needed to choose, I would go to Linz and see the ice sculptures, eat at my favorite vegan restaurant @front_food and shop some beautiful hand made sustainable items to give to my loved ones as 🎁 ❤️ #christmas #salzburg #linz #austria #veganfood #veganism #pretzels #fairylights #christmastime #christmastree #city #night #photography #blogger #travel #travelphotography #review #sustainability #sustainablefashion #wooden #beauty #skincare #essentialoils #nightphotography #iphonexsmax #shotoniphone #winter #snow

  • We stayed at a small house overlooking the Bhadra river near Chikmagaluru. The house owner is a 58 year old single woman. We got along really well and we had a long conversation over bonfire. .
    .
She never married because she did not feel like it and she has stayed here all her life. Even she was intrigued with our decision of abruptly quitting the city life and embracing nomad life. What will you do when you have kids?
    .
    .
That night Hency and I had a long chat about the things that we really want in life. It is not as if all this is hunky dory and there are no cons at all.
    .
    .
We pack and unpack every few days. We do get attached to a place and it’s people but something else inside us wants us to wander.
    .
    .
It is impossible to get into a routine considering the entire scenery changes every few weeks. But would we take it any other way? No way! We both have grown like crazy in the last few months of our nomadic life. We connect with people at a much deeper level. We care so much about the environment.
    .
    .
The evil of comparing our lives to other people does arise from time to time. People are buying houses, cars, having babies, switching jobs for growth and here we are sitting on the road, looking at this beautiful tea garden thinking about where to sleep tonight. Life is different for everyone. You gotta do what you gotta do!
    .
    .
What makes you go into trance and explore your thoughts?

  • The definition of “Indigenous” is originating or occurring naturally in a particular place. We all have indigenous ethnic roots even though a lot of us have been removed from those traditions. Take the time to reflect on your indigenous roots. What traditions or practices have you forgotten that we’re used to ground you in the present and connect you to the earth?
