#resetyourlife #reset #london #england #reisen #travel #vorweihnachtszeit #keinstress #metime #glücklich #happiness #unterwegs #towerbridge #nottinghill #londoneye #londonbus #rain #regen #wethair #newstyle #entspannt #mija

  • Apparently it’s Monday again..🤦🏽‍♀️
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Despite very little sleep for two days (the worst feeling), I’m attempting to turn my resting bitch face upside down by heading back to @opusfitness for a reformer class this morning🤗
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I always book my classes using @esquaredfitness_uk. They have an ever expanding list of classes on the app, giving you opportunity to train at some of the best studios in London🙌🏼

  • [BREATHING]
    .
Many of us struggle to adapt to the external stressors of life - often leading to symptoms of chronic stress
    .
The most notable physical symptoms are poor posture and low energy levels - both of which have an impact on our
diaphragmatic control and our ability to utilise oxygen effectively. In essence, we stop breathing correctly!
    .
Under states of physical/emotional trauma or chronic stress, our abdomen begins to ͚lock up͛, which then forces the body to recruit the respiratory muscles in the upper body and neck (the ones which would usually be used during high levels of exertion to lift the chest and shoulders to allow for increased oxygen uptake). Because the body never returns to homeostasis, (i.e. we never relax) this type of breathing becomes the ‘͚norm͛’ - and this facilitates huge amounts of tension and tightness in the neck and shoulder area - leading to headaches and jaw problems
    .
    WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT
    .
To alleviate the above symptoms, you need to begin to breathe properly, and focus on introducing the below exercise into your daily routine
    .
When you inhale, your belly button should draw outwards as you fill your lungs up with air. (This is around 50% of the maximum lung capacity as when we are at rest the need for oxygen is less than if we were training hard.) When you can͛t fill the abdomen anymore, allow the rest of the inhale to circulate into the chest. On the exhale, do the reverse. Let the belly button sink towards the spine and allow the chest to deflate. If done correctly, it will look and feel like a wave effect!

  • Streets of London 🇬🇧 When I travel, I like to walk. Walk, walk, walk. And that’s also what I did in London, I walked around from morning to night and saw so many pretty streets. Like this one above ☝🏻
