- One of our greatest mistakes is
expecting everyone to embrace and celebrate
when we have committed to making a change.
They may have known where you have been,
but not understand where you are going.
People might have a lot to say about you. People may think you are lost, because you haven't been where they are used to seeing you.
Everyone will have an opinion, and that's life.
But don't let that stop you from pursuing the fire in your heart. You need to do what is necessary to keep that fire going. It might not fit what everyone has in mind. And this may sound sad but, if you gotta go... You gotta go.
No one understood Abraham, Moses, David, Elisha or Jesus. They had to leave many behind in pursuit of purpose. And sometimes, so do we.
Where you are going, is somewhere you (or anyone you have been around) has been. The only ones that can go with you, are the ones who can catch the vision and see.

- “The loss of ones sense of self is the essence of trauma” 😵 that sentence hit me like a ton of bricks. For a long time I accepted that a lot of the struggles I faced internally as a mother was due to the fact that I had not been prepared to give up my personal power to now be at the mercy of a 24/7 being I brought into the world.
But what if as mothers we never fully made that transition or adjustment back to self?
What if, even not as a mother, we lost our sense of self in work, family or relationships and instead of realising this was the source of our unrest, we smothered it down with addictions, personal possessions or more connections on social media to numb this trauma.
This is a discussion to continue in a number of different areas in a number of different ways... but for now, as we enter this “festive” time of year, its time to give yourself a gift.
A day, a moment, a thought of what it would mean to be yourself, powerful, without restriction, without obligation, with only yourself to please. .
