  • Looking for a delicious and easy snack? Try these smokehouse almonds by Blue Diamond. With only 2 net carbs per servings, they are a great option on the go. Just be careful not to eat too many servings! I always weigh mine in advance so I know exactly how much I’m consuming! What’s your go to snack?

  • Do you want to be successful?  Do you want to have more money?  Do you want a better job or better position at your company?  Do you want people to see you as an authority figure in your niche?  Do you want people to come to you and ask you for help because you are seen as an expert?  Or THE expert everyone comes to because you are so much more helpful, knowledgeable and reliable than everyone else?

Whatever it might be, we all have things that we want to improve in our lives.  We all have dreams and ideas of things we desire and want for ourselves and our families.  Now what is it that differentiates those that are more successful from those that are less successful?  It's the use of things commonly referred to as success factors that play a large role here.  Numerous researchers in studies at colleges like Harvard and Yale have found that how many success factors one utilizes on a regular daily basis can make the difference between having a good day, a great day, a great month or year, going forwards rapidly and/or going backwards or being stagnant.
One of these success factors that extremely successful people use on a daily basis is to question themselves and it's not just ask themselves any particular question.  It's to ask themselves one question in particular - "what am I doing right now, today to make for a better day tomorrow?" This may sound like a very simple question, but this one question can make all the difference in the world. 💚🙏🏼

  • Hellooooooo back gains! Cable rows are one of my favorite exercises for so many reasons. Because we live in a tech age, many of us spend our days sitting at a desk, hunched over computer screens and slouching, which results in underactive traps and levator scapula, creating a less-than-attractive slouched look. I’m sure everyone reading this instantly thought of someone who experiences this, and I certainly hope it isn’t you! So how can we combat this? It’s quite simple, strengthen those underactive muscles, and cable rows are a great and simple place to start!
1️⃣ Adjust the height of the cable machine. Shoulder height is my personal preference, but it’s really up to you, as long as you are recruiting the correct muscles for the movement.
2️⃣ Set up your stance. For a staggered stance, your front foot should be opposite of the arm doing the work (i.e. if your right arm is rowing, your left foot should be forward). Make sure you are far enough away from the apparatus so when you are full extension through the arm there is still tension on the cable.
3️⃣ Send your elbow backwards! When you are rowing, make sure that you are engaging the muscles throughout your back to avoid recruitment of the biceps. For beginners, start with running your forearm along your side to ensure your elbow does not flare out. ‼️ If you are experiencing any pain, numbness or tingling when performing this exercise OR if you feel bicep recruitment, please speak with a trainer before continuing to perform cable rows.
Rows are so important to a well-balanced fitness routine, especially with our current lifestyle, spent in front of screens. Try these next time you hit the gym!
