  • I gave a lot of thought about food when I was on my digital detox. While I do advocate for a more balanced, healthy, veggie and local lifestyle, while making my best to capture it as its best, I am not certain making out of this earth good pics with looooooads of mess and thrown away food is a good thing. And when I scroll on the gram this is what I mostly see on famous foodie accounts. Let alone the fact that this is advocating for a life of consumption, there’s half of this planet’s population that’s LACKING FOOD or is having issues feeding themselves and those they care about. Empty plates are a message of love, compassion and is meant to show us that there should be more thinking behind what’s digitally produced and what it induces ❤️

  • I’ve been having so much fun coming up with #whole30 recipes for you guys, especially with the help of @waterloosparkling from @wholefoods. #waterloosparklingpartner . It’s really challenging my creative energy in the kitchen, which is something I really needed. I was starting to feel uninspired and although I started this challenge for that very reason, I’m coming to realize that it’s so much more than that. I’m excited for the mental growth and to build a healthier relationship with food. I haven’t opened up a ton about this, it’s probably the thing I’m most vulnerable about but I’m trying. 💛

    These sweet potato turkey sliders were the first thing I made for my meal prep for work! 🍔✨ The perfect addition to my sliders was this Waterloo sparkling water. Waterloo comes in a ton of delicious flavors and they're also #whole30approved ! 🙌🏼 Even the original flavor is great paired with a meal, just to jazz things up a little.

    For the sliders, I cut up some sweet potato rounds and roasted them for 45 minutes with avocado oil. I used ground turkey, diced onion, garlic seasoning, sea salt, and black pepper. I cooked it on a skillet with avocado oil, about 7 minutes in medium heat on both sides. Topping the sliders, I added kraut, red onion, microgreens, dill, and unsweetened ketchup and paired them with an arugula salad!   • these QUINOA KALE PIZZA BITES made with @naturesgreens kale greens are seriously what you need to prep for your week, stat! i used to make these all the time in college, so I’m really glad I revisited and upgraded these babies 🙌🏻🍕they are the perfect on the go bites to be enjoyed by all ages alike. i highly recommend dipping them in more heated marinara sauce and topping them with lots of fresh basil. you can snag the recipe from my blog, the link is now in my bio! happy Thursday, loves // #matchaandmargs #farmfreshgreens #naturesgreens

  • Free from refined sugar, vegan and delicious: I made these banana date oat bars yesterday, and just posted the making of plus measurements in my story, if you’re interested. They’re a great snack or even breakfast on the go, and they stay soft (yet crunchy on the outside!) for days! 💯 Hands up if you’re a cereal bar fan like me! 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️☺️
