    Give your loved ones a homemade gift this year! The holidays are so commercialized and this is a great way to love and care back into giving. Not only is it extremely thoughtful, but it’s useful, promotes healthy eating, and zero waste! I made this one for my roommate because she loooooves waffles (the last photo is there because we just watched Bad Moms together and I so had mention that😂). This mix also works great as a pancake mix! Give one to any friends/family that love breakfast food or it’s also a great generic/host gift for those you don’t know what to give. ————————————————————————
    To make: It’s so easy and inexpensive!
    I cleaned out a used tomato sauce jar and soaked it in some vinegar + dish soap + water to get the label off. To make the batter: all you need to do is blend all the ingredients together until it’s very fine. For the labels: I printed and taped what I did on the bottle! If you have a blank label of a marker I’m sure those would work great too.

  • good morning! today I’m ngl, I have truly out done myself! This is probably the best smoothie I’ve ever made but I’m not the best at making smoothies so i guess it’s not that big of a deal lol. Anyways, this smoothie has matcha, dates, banana, spinach, almond milk, and turmeric. Sounds weird but I promise it’s so so good! Also, there’s 15 more days until Christmas ⛄️🎄

    If you're still wondering what's the difference between whole wheat and whole grain and which is the better choice, opt for whole grain every time. WHY? Well, let’s look further. -

    When a product is labeled whole-grain, that means it includes the entire kernel of the grain—including the outer bran layer, the germ (the part that can sprout into a new plant), and the inner, starchy endosperm. Refined grains, on the other hand, only include the endosperm; that’s why whole grains generally take longer to cook (think brown rice vs. white rice). Which means, more fibre-longer time to digest and keeps you fuller at the same time as compared to their counterpart. -

    Another advantage of this: If you try to make this switch consistently for a month, you might see a reduction in the portion size which otherwise would have been large. This gives you a bonus of putting lesser calories in your body. -

    PS: Some grains are gluten-free, while others (like whole wheat) are not. Some have more protein, while others have more fiber. If you have a food sensitivity, or are looking to incorporate more of a certain nutrient into your diet, double check the nutrition information of all your favorite grains before you start shopping. -
