  • Some of you may know, previously I was an innovation consultant and trends forecaster. (See my book, Red Thread Thinking: Weaving Together Connections for Brilliant Ideas and Profitable Innovation, at https://amzn.to/2ULe81I.) Never leaving the past quite behind, here are a few 2019 wedding flower predictions. While mainstay white and lush greens will continue strong, greenery will boost its importance further. Couples will be seeking focus blooms rather than abundance of flowers. Fewer blooms tucked into mixed foliage provide great natural interest, depth and lots of texture. Instead of choosing super-specific Pantone squares to ensure that every detail of the wedding is the exact same color, brides and grooms seek “wedding colors” as the full spectrum of shades. For example, instead of saying that a color scheme is “blush and peacock blue,” a couple might simply say “pinks and blues”, allowing for a broader range of hues—from lightest pink to eye-catching scarlet. Not only does this approach enable increased creativity but it provides wedding décor with a richer sense of dimension, texture, and visual interest. Colors will be bolder and jewel-tone. We'll see more bordeaux, rust and purple. Neutral pink will be the new neutral of 2019, which blends beautifully with the dark, deep reds. 📷Hollyhill Black Widow is an extremely tall black/red that is a prodigious grower. Fabulous for U.S.A. farmers, the trend for local will continue. #flowergram #flowerstagram #regram #fashionflowers #flowersofinstagram #blooms #flowerlove #flowerfarmer #farmerflorist #flowersoftheday #flower #flowerpower #gardener #floweroftheday #gardening #dahlia #garden #bearcreekfresh #flowers #dahlias #cutflowers #flowerslovers #planting #gardens #flowerlovers #fashionforward #weddingflowers #flowerarrangement #redflowers #growing
