  • Today’s shout goes out to Gaj, who’s goal was to build some muscle, get stronger and strip down the excess body fat. This is a great example of the ‘recomp’ (building muscle and losing body fat at the same time) effect which can happen when you start to optimise all variables, and tick all the right boxes on a daily basis.⁣

    The biggest challenge for us in the past few months has been navigating around Gaj’s busy work and social life. As a trader in the City, early starts, long hours and regular client entertainment becomes a recurring theme, so it’s more important than ever to make sure you’re planning everything ahead of time, creating the right ‘buffers’ where needs be, and being disciplined with your schedule to fit your training in.⁣

    Gaj knew this, so while he may have had the odd slip up at a work event, he knew the best thing to do was to get back on the horse by the next meal. Another tip that helped him a lot was to keep his food choices the same everyday. When you’re in a high pressure / high stress environment, deciding between chicken or turkey should be the last of your worries. Remember, every decision you make taps into your willpower reserve, so by removing the decision behind food choices, you allow yourself to exert more discipline in times when it may be easy to otherwise cave, like at the end of the day!⁣

    The next goal for Gaj? Build more muscle! Now that he’s lean, he’s in the prime position for a length muscle building phases where it’ll be all about PRs on the plate, and PRs on the bar!

  • Efter fredagsfys blir det fredagsmys med tacos😍💥🌮
    ALLT handlar om balans och det är vad jag försöker att hitta till 100%!!❤️ Denna veckan har varit som en bergochdalbana, vissa dagar har varit ganska bra medans anda dagar varit skit...Däremot fick jag till ett riktigt bra ryggpass idag vilket gjorde mig superglad, så jag startar helgen på rätt sätt!!😋 Håll utkik på storyn imorgon! För då har jag tänkt att uppdatera hela dagen vad jag äter😘
    Dessutom ska jag lägga ut som ett inlägg senare under veckan ”What I eat in a day” då det var lite blandat ifall ni ville ha den på storyn eller som ett inlägg.

  • I’m not a fan of having a lazy active life. Who knows me knows that I’m a workout fan and like to workout hard, very intense! But I was curious about this new product that works on your muscles while you are relaxing at home reading a book. It’s called @premfit and it really actives your muscle like when doing 20 min straight of crunches at the gym. You feel like your abs are burning and showing out.   • THE BEST WORKOUT FOR WHEN AUNT FLOW COMES TO TOWN. Sorry for my 33% male audience out there, but this caption is for the ladies. One question I actually get frequently is how do I cater my workouts around my PERIOD. Yes I said the word. I actually don't change a thing because working out makes me feel better. "Endorphins make ppl happy, and happy ppl don't shoot their husbands" #namethatmovie . Ok but seriously, training abs for whatever reason actually HELPS me feel better, makes my back hurt a little less, etc. Give this one a go and tell me you don't feel better already.
    1️⃣ side plank crunches: 4x10 each side
    2️⃣ ...superset w/half burpees: 4x30 seconds
    3️⃣ crunch to wall ball throw: 4x15
    4️⃣ ...superset with hand stand hop ups (if you can't do a handstand then walk your hands out further): 4x30 seconds
    5️⃣ cable crunches: burnout of 100 reps (I legit do sets of 50, 20, 20, and 10)

    Today was yet another day of just chilling on the couch, playing familie games and watching movies. And most importantly of all, a refreshing but painful abs workout!
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    Schedule:📑
    Jumping jacks - 2 minutes warm-up (20kcal)
    Laying leg raise - 4x25 (67kcal)
    Crunch double - 4x25 (67kcal)
    Crunch balanced straight legs - 4x15 (40kcal)
    Russian twist - 4x25 (67kcal)
    Oblique crunch - 4x25 (67kcal)
    Burpee - 3x20 (40kcal)

    Intensity: 9/10
    Calories burned: 368🔥

    This workout really finished my abs... today's workout is recommended for people who want to destroy their abs... Make sure you do this workout on a ease, don't go and finish the workout in 5 minutes... do the workout slowly, this way you make sure every muscle gets their time to get tightened. Take one minute rest between every set. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    Tomrrow is the last day I can enjoy the snow, so I'll be the whole day shoving my head in the snow 😅 Sunday morning we will travel back home!

    ___________________________________________________ 🤩BUT! If you’re not that person, then the simpler the better. Take out some of the reasons to fail...time and equipment.

  • Arched Lower Back While Overhead Pressing ❌🙅🏼‍♂️

    Does your back naturally arch during overhead presses? I am a victim of this my entire lifting career, and I’ve been working hard to teach my body proper lumbo pelvic position. 👍🏼

    This is very important to keep your spine healthy so you can continue progressing in your fitness journey!🔑

    1️⃣ In the first video, my first 4 repetitions I excessively arch my back. My core is completely deactivated, my ribs flare out to help get the weight up, and you are totally screwing up the joints in your back. ❌

    First video continued, my second 4 reps I keep a neutral pelvis, I brace my core by pulling my ribs into my abs, and keep my scapula down and tight then let them rotate up as I press up. Keep all of this tight the entire movement to safely generate as much force as possible. ✅

    2️⃣ The second video is a basic corrective exercise technique I use to teach the body proper lumbo pelvic position during the press, eliminating back extension. Same concept, but with a band for resistance. Wrap the band around a pole behind you, so your back wants to extend during your press. Your job is to RESIST that movement by bracing your core, and staying in control of your body. -
    This small, priming work isn’t sexy. Your not going to look the coolest in the gym. But you are taking care of your body the right way to make sure it stays healthy and strong. It’s also not going to change after 1 session performing this, it’s going to take consistency and time to teach your body to adapt. 🙌🏼
