  • BOUNDARIES .... Isn’t it funny how whenever we set boundaries the feelings of guilt and shame come in. We feel lazy when we don’t do the stuff we wanted to do though our body tells us to slow down. We feel guilt when somebody asks us to do something for them and we have to say no because it’s better for us.
So today I sat with those feelings, I let them rise up, travel trough me. I felt such an enormous amount of guilt, shame, even blame. Shame for not doing what I am asked. Guilt for not complying, for doing something for myself, rather than somebody I love. And I blamed myself for it.
But the more interesting part of this is what those emotions dissolved into as I sat with them. I uncovered not feeling worthy (of doing things for myself, of speaking up, of having a valid opinion,....), I uncovered shame, feeling naked. And I found an immense amount of fear and judgement.
I felt shaken up, right to the core of my being. My hips felt so tense as those emotions showed up.
And it makes sense. Our hips are the part were we store our fears, our anxiety, and our sadness.
There you are, childhood trauma! There you are, old beliefs and conditioning from the outside world.
It’s kind of a continuation from what I was talking about yesterday. We take on what people tell us, they condition us. And we believe them.
We let them into our root chakra, the very core of our being. And we hold them in there. The emotions, the trauma, and the tension.
Who am I to say „no“? WHO THE HELL DO I THINK I AM? Am I being a spoiled bitch? Am i being a shitty friend? A shitty lover? Am I lazy? Am I weak? Am I am asshole?
The answer to all of the above is; NO! I am me, myself. I am a vulnerable person. I am worthy. I am allowed to say no. I have boundaries. So we can build healthy relationships.
And by saying no to you, and to you, and to you, I saying „yes“ to myself. I am reclaiming my own power, I am freeing my roots from all the old. I am building my own roots, from which, I will forever grow.
I invite you, to watch your behaviour over the next 24 hours and find a situation in which you normally wouldn’t say „no“. (Continued in comments)
