Winter Project.

- When l make a playground, l think as a child and a parent. The kids fun and safety is paramount as well as their participation in the construction process.
Happy to be at Nakivale refugee settlement learning and building a new @shadowmanvan play scape that is inspired by #kids drawings that we later developed to fit large scale production.
Today we celebrate the green light to go ahead to construct from HIJRA, OPM, UNHCR.
The #shadowmanvan is on the move into 2019.
Working with the team on the ground teacher Diode , doctor stone and the community.
The Reception centre of Nakivale is the first place families stay before they are relocated after they fred their countries.
War is happening and many times we take for granted our freedom and how much we can do for the betterment of the entire human race. We are one, no one would be comfortable seeing or staying in the conditions that refugees have to apprehend to. You and l are potential refugees anytime, we can help one another, we can do better, people power is far better than our leaders. Be the leader in your community. As you prepare for the Xmas extravaganza (capitalism) , show love to your neighbours !!
Happy holidays, Xmas is finding us here!!

- Herkese Merhaba;
Border Crossing dergisinde ilk makalem yayınlandı. Border Crossing, uluslararası, hakemli, göç araştırmaları alanında uzman bir süreli yayındır.
Makalemin adı: “Global Security and International Migration: Intolerable Weight of the Other in the Global Village”.
Hello to everyone;
My first article was published in Border Crossing magazine. Border Crossing is an interdisciplinary and peer-reviewed international journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
I'm so happy.🙂🎈
The name of my article is: "the Global Security and International Migration: Intolerable Weight of Other in the Global Village"
First of all, I would like to thank Mrs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Bayındır Goularas and all who believe in this journey and support me.
My mother, who was with me during the years I looked through the archives, my mother smiled to me when she heard the news.
I hope my father's smiled to me from the dimension which he went.
Hope to meet you in new studies.

- "It is important to share the experience of being a #refugee as many people don't understand what it was like." Powerful and courageous work by #children who have sought safety in #Coventry , and whom have been telling their stories as part of a project with The Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations and Coventry City Council.
Available to read at Coventry Libraries across the city. Full story in our page bio.

- This cheeky chappy is Niamat. Refugee, human and international football player.
His story is incredible, his outlook on life infectious and his future, looking bright.
Niamat fled Afghanistan with his younger brother Mortaza, now 14 years old. They were sent away by their parents to find a better life away from war.
Their parents didn’t even know if they’d survived, it was a year later when Niamat managed to contact his mother to her surprise and joy. It took them 4 months to walk all the way to Austria where they now have found a life and been granted asylum. Niamat told me the difficulties in getting there - crossing borders and going over mountains when hungry and cold.
He and his brother are testament to the human ability to survive. A true survivor both physically and mentally. At first Niamat didn’t like talking about what he’d gone through; now he sees the positive in it.
He represented Austria in the Homeless World Cup in Mexico, where I met him. Football changed his life, it gave him a purpose in a country that was new to him and he is now on an engineering apprenticeship and will be qualified in just over a year.
It wasn’t always easy at first. Niamat explained to me the hate that came his way with people telling him to go back to his country. Yet Niamat is Austrian, he sees himself as so and told me in Mexico he hopes now people will see him as such for wearing the Austrian kit with pride.
Niamat you are truly remarkable, I love how we chat on Instagram and I’ll be keeping up to date with your progress in engineering. I hope one day we’ll meet again. Until then, realise your story can benefit so many people; you have the power to change people’s perceptions and there is no shame, only pure courage, pride and resilience in your journey.
Refugees and homeless are just labels. I wish people would spend time finding out the stories of others rather than using that time to spread hatred. It is tournaments such as the @homelessworldcup which bring people together, those that have experienced hardships and those that haven’t. Yet everyone leaves changed and for the better.
Niamat I wish you all the luck in the World.
