  • Home is where I want to be But I guess I’m already there . . . It has been pouring for two days straight and i have no idea what LA is going to do with all this rain, but i am digging this sitting on the couch and listening to music thing. Is it raining for you, too? Check out the link in my bio to listen to my newest (and really good) Spotify playlist! I haven’t posted in awhile, so here’s a little slice of my life right now: I’ve been doing this thing the last couple weeks where i go out with one or two friends on the weekends and try to meet as many strangers as possible. So far it has been pretty good! Met a bunch of people I haven’t spoken to again, one who was too good to be true, and two who are looking like they actually may become real friends! Jay and Mackenzie still haven’t come out with me because they aren’t into the whole dancing thing, but that’s a fight for another day (I’ll get them! I swear!). My second thanksgiving in LA was just as good as the first, and just as vegan. We started cooking before three this year so we could actually eat at a normal time (unlike last year’s 8pm dinner). I joined a queer book club!! Yes! In an effort to establish more of a community during my second year in LA, on top of going out and meeting strangers, i reconnected with a long-lost friend (who I’ve only ever known on tumblr from my high school days...) who started a book club. We read books with queer themes or by queer authors. So far we’ve done “Tales of the City” by Armistead Maupin and “Holidays on Ice” by David Sedaris. I didn’t intend to write all this. To be frank, i was just gonna post the song lyrics and get this pic up to get some likes...but ya know, sometimes it’s cathartic to babble randomly about what you’ve been up to...even if 1300 people might read it and judge your grammar.
